How I got here:
It's been real! At a pretty early age I had to learn to navigate grief, PTSD and anxiety. Life doesn't stop when we need it to. Everything in life does, in fact, happen for a reason and it is all continuing to happen for a reason. Life leading up to massage shaped me into someone that really understands what stress can do to the body and to the mind and to the spirit. That's why I really love doing this work because I see the difference that it makes in myself and others.
I graduated in 2016 from Gaston College with a Therapeutic Massage Diploma and an Associate's in General Studies. I gravitate towards many psychology and anatomy classes, so from massage school onward and long before I've studied the mind-body connection.
I choose to let this path teach me something new everyday. A Daoist proverb that resonates is to always keep a beginner's mind.
My ultimate goal is to help, whether that means alleviating general stress and tension or working with you after injury or surgery. I predominately work at a firmer pressure, Think: Precise deep tissue trigger point work with ten years of finesse.
In my me-time, I'm an avid musician/singer songwriter and love to hang out with my family and friends. I love the Beach Boys too much, ad-libbing Wheel of Fortune puzzles, and discovering little miracles in everyday life, especially in gardens and in the mountains. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I thank him everyday for this purposeful existence he has blessed me with and honor each client as the sacred spirit woven exactly as they are.
